12/20/2013 7:58 AM It came to pass in Dubienka on the fifteenth day of September in the year of one thousand eight hundred and thirty-nine. Appeared personally Orthodox Jew Moysze Leib Nirensztein, the local Deputy Rabbi, together with

Orthodox Jew Icek Czesny, a day labourer residing in Chelm who had already turned nineteen years of age, born in the Town of Wlodawa to Leizor and Sura, the Czesnys, a married couple residing in Chelm and making a living as day labourers,

and Udla Kranz, the maiden who had already turned eighteen years of age, born to Abram Hersz Kranz the broker, and Malia Kranz not alive anymore, a married couple residing here, still staying with her father,

in the presence of Leizor Czesny, the father of Icek Czesny, and Abram Hersz Kranz, the father of Udla Kranz, as well as in the presence of witnesses Jankiel Garnfinkiel, a synagogue caretaker fifty years of age, and Matia Finkiel, a synagogue caretaker thirty-eight years of age, both of them residing here as well,

and declared that the religious marriage had been entered into before him that day by Icek Czesny and Udla Kranz following triple public proclamation of banns, namely on the twentieth and the twenty-seventh day of July as well as the third day of August of the current year held simultaneously in Chelm Synagogue and Dubienka Synagogue, and verbal consent to this marriage granted by Leizor Czesny and Abram Hersz Kranz the fathers of the newlyweds, and no marriage impeding had occurred, in addition to which the newlyweds declared they had not signed any premarital agreement. The actual certificate was read aloud to the appeared and the witnesses and signed by the Deputy Rabbi Moysze Leib Nirensztein, Abram Hersz Kranz, Jankiel Garnfinkiel and Matia Finkiel. The other persons appeared did not know how to write.
