A translation or a detailed summary. The writer was a soldier in the Austro-Hungarian army, writing to his wife in (nonstandard) German.

Unfortunately I'm only able to read and understand some parts. If I'd only translate the words and sentences I'm sure of, there wouldn't be much meaning in it.

Therefore here you have at least a rough estimation of the guessed content, included mistakes are guaranteed, and it is definetly not a proper translation.

Basically the tone of all the cards is very tender.

Dear and beloved Mageda?,

I'm healthy and well and am staying at Mow. house. For 4,5 days I havent heard of you. Of Zarges this week I already received 3 cards. I' ve sent to you the... a postcard with the pictures of the...The sultan in the middle has a remarkable resemblance to Mr. Isak (to me), don't you think so?
With me all is fine, but the weather is horrible, we have a lot of rain and so on.

I kiss you affectionately and the levoved children and ... parents.

And again the last responder made me understand and transcribe a bit more, plus the fact I know now the postcard "Heldenmuetige Verteidigung der Dardanellen," shows a group of Turkish soldiers in fezes shooting a cannon across the Dardanelles.

Interesting and a question of interpretation is the fact the writer used the word “Mamelukes” for that was not the correct form in 1916 anymore. And he used with it a sweet diminuitive, the “chen”.
Could be he did not take them that serious or helpfull or the situation not that optimistic, could be he used the word for it was not understood that easy by the censorship. (The letter was proved by censorship like one stamp tells).
