This is page 1 of a two page letter written in Yiddush and part of a set of letters between Sorkin brothers and sisters in Snovsk and Kyrgystan between 1913 and 1945. I would appreciate a translation, or at least as many names of people and places as possible with any possible dates.

4/1/2012 6:18 PM this is page one of a letter from someone to his uncle, aunt and their children. i can't make out all the words but he speaks of his travels, or leaving Russia and having reached Riga 5 days after leaving Moscow. he writes of his "shiffskartel" - ticket on the white star line. that's about all i can make sense of.
