On  Response
4/1/2012 6:40 PM indeed there is a city mentioned - it is Dukla, which is in Poland.
this listing says that Yisrael Aryeh Scheinblum was a Talmudic scholar living in Dukla. due to the size of the print i can only make out one more thing here and that is the mention of "Hirschprung" - a reference to one of Dukla's more famous inhabitants, Rabbi Pinchos Hirschprung who later became Chief Rabbi of Montreal.
4/2/2012 6:35 PM Hello Esther,

The Hebrew name at the top of the page is Scheinboim.

Further down on the bottom of the tree, there is additional information, from left to right:

Reb Chaim from Brooklyn and Jerusalem
Reb Schrayga ???? from London
Reb Menachem Mendel from Manchester
Reb Ishaye/Ishayahu from ????

Hope that this adds to the info provided by the previous person's response....Jo
4/3/2012 2:37 AM The town mentioned is "Dukla". The exact translation is:
Shainbaum: Rav Yisrael Aryeh, a Torah scholar in Dukla.
His insights of Torah are to be found in (the journal) Ohel Torah [Hirschprung] (in the year)5689 (=1929)Vol. 2-3 (pages) 133-136 (and in the year) 5690 (=1930)Vol 5-6 (page) 220.

Text in square brackets are from the original. In round brackets are added by me
4/3/2012 9:13 AM When you "click to see the image in a separate window" it opens it in a separate window (or tab) with large clear letters.

Please note that the image refer to two different families:
The top part, within the frame, refers to Sheinboim, and mentions Dukla.

The bottom part, containing the tree refers to a family whose last name is pronounced Shneybalg (The German spelling would be Schneebalg).

The only Rabi Meir mentioned in the text comes underneath the Schneebalg's. Wunder does not appear at all.

Reb Meir
Reb David Tsvi
Reb Khayim in Kolomea
Reb David Tsvi of Vizhnits and Manchester (5653 - 5728)

And then 4 descendants of the above, listed horizontally from right to left:
Reb Yeshaya and his family from Bney Re'em [There is a Rabi Yeshaye Schneeblag in Bney Brak at present]
Reb Menakem Mendl from Manchester [see comment below]
Reb Shraga Feivush from London
Reb Khayim in Brooklyn and Jerusalem.

And then, in larger letters underneath the tree you have
Reb David Tsvi son of Khayim Schneebalg.

Bney Re'em בני ראם is a place in Israel, named after to Rabbi of Gur aka "the Gerer Rebe".

In 2005, the was a call to pray for the health of R' Menakhem Mendl of Manchester, is mother's name is Sara Babshe according the ultra religious forum in which the call appeared.
4/3/2012 3:42 PM Ohel Torah can be read online at
