Please help me translate this book of regulations issued by the Yiddish Actors Union in Poland. It is a printed publication and should be fairly easy to read and translate. Thank you!

On  Response
1/28/2012 1:42 PM Regulations of the Artists' Union

1) no artist -both active or passive member of the Union- has the right to perform with non-members of the Union.

2) the artist is obliged to accept every part that was assigned to him by the stage-manager and was approved by the troupe management.

3) one and the same part can be assigned to 2 or 3 artists that would replace each other, which means all those filling in for the part have equal rights to the part, and who will play at the première is selected by lot.

4) every artist has the right to demand not less than 4 proof rehearsals. Exceptionally he might also have to play without rehearsals.

1st remark: participation in the management gives the right to receive additional pay

2nd remark: when a leading role needs to be replaced the troupe's council will decide about it

Hope this helps.
