These two images of sisters were taken by a professional photographer - the left image is a Happy New Year card with Yiddish on it. This left image was taken at Hurwitz, on Houston St., in NY. I suspect the family may be related to one of my surnames LANE, YUDELOWITZ, FRAIDER, BLANKFORT, but have no idea which. The right image appears on the front of a postcard.

12/1/2011 1:27 AM In Hebrew (small print), on the right, left, and underneath on the right.
Right: long life. Left: wealth and honor.
Underneath: May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year (traditional greeting)
Greeting in German (left):best wishes for the new year.
There is nothing in Yiddish.
