I have a five page letter written in Yiddish (I believe) but with Latin letters. I am trying to get a gist of the genealogical information.

7/12/2011 2:13 AM you (Mendl) probably ask, why I do not bring my son to Chicago: I sent him papers already two years ago, but the quota for Jews from Poland is full, and who knows how long he would have to wait.
It is easier to get a visa to South America, and you are our only hope.
7/12/2011 7:52 AM In the first lines, Mendl is asked to help bring the son of the "gehenem" -- for the Hebrew "gehenom" = hell.
