IS IT POSSIBLE THE TWO MEN ARE BROTHERS?
DOES ANYONE RECOGNIZE THE MAN ON THE RIGHT OR THE BRIDE?
The man on the LEFT side is Dr. Wilhelm HALPERN, my gg-uncle, who was a lawyer, born 1890 in Kopyczynce, Galicia, lived in Vienna until ca. 1930 and then in Prague, from where he was deported to Dachau.
I do not yet know who the man on the RIGHT side - the groom - is. Because I feel there is a great likeness between the two men, I am assuming him to be Wilhelm's brother - Carl Chaim HALPERN, born 1886 in Kopyczynce, lived in Vienna until 1910, when he left for the USA, arriving in New York on June 30, 1910 on the President Lincoln, going to his cousin Louis HOCHMAN.
I have no information about the bride.
If the groom is Carl Halpern, the picture of the married couple must have been taken in the USA after 1918 but probably no later than 1930.
This picture was in my grandfather's album together with other family members, almost all of which are identified (with this exception).

5/14/2011 10:33 AM I agree there's a family resemblance between the men - esp. the lips and nose. Also, the fact that this picture isn't labeled but all the others are suggests it was someone so close to the owner of the album, he didn't think it needed labeling. So I agree with your guess it's his brother.

For instance, I know the wedding anniversary dates of all my grandmother's grandmother's siblings, because I inherited a little notebook in which she wrote them down. But I don't know *her* anniversary, because she didn't need to write it down. And the official marriage record was bombed into oblivion in WWII.

5/14/2011 12:18 PM Yes, there is a GREAT likeness between these two men. And 4 year difference in age also supports your assumption.
All the best
