40 Nowogrod
This took place in the town of Nowogrod, on the 12 / 24th of February 1857 at 10 a.m. . (Note: when two dates are given, it generally refers to the Gregorian and Julian calendars--even today, Russians celebrate Christmas about two weeks after Polish people). Appeared before me Old Order ????(possibly "Moszko") Juchawicz Kramkowski, day laborer, 40 years old, resident of Nowogrod, in the presence of witnesses, Old Order Joszek Jankielowicz ???? 49 years old and Zelman Abramowicz????student, 39 years old, both residents of Nowogrod, and showed us a male child born here in Nowogrod on the first / thirteenth of January of the present year at 6 p.m. , by his wife, the mother (of the child) being 35 years of age. During circumcision the child was given the name SZLOMO. This act was read to those appearing and witnesses.....
