Need help deciphering the text (believed to be the tombstone of my great-grandfather's brother, Shmuel Zanvil ben Yisrael Hakohen (Katz); I can make out the name Shmuel in the initial letters of each line). Thank you.

10/7/2010 11:02 AM I can only read the first two rows and the first 2 words from the third -
? returned a pure-hearted innocent man,
gave from his wealth to the poor and the beggars
and scattered wealth….
