This is my Great Grandfather's tombstone
I need help in deciphering the last few lines which are very much like a cryptic clue in a cross word puzzle!

9/6/2010 1:39 AM Hi,
This is in Hebrew. It says:
Here lies a respected man, innocent
Generous of heart and friend to the wise
Shabtai Shlomo Zalman
son of Tuvia collected to internal life
aged 73 in the year of Ain-Tet-Reish-Vav that corrosponds to 1918/19 (not as written below so that is confusing)on the eighth day of Sukkot.
9/6/2010 1:58 AM I suppose you mean last three lines
It says
at the age of 73 in the year "Ateret"
at the 8th day "Atzeret"

Ateret is crown but here I would asume that they used same letters of year of death to make it sound nicer. Therefore I think the year is Tav-resh-Ain-Tet of 5679.
8th Atzeret is the last day of Sukot or 22 Tishrei.
So the date is 22 Tishrei 5679 = Sep 28,1918
Hope I am right

Zvika
