This is page one of a two-page letter that was sent from Russia to my paternal grandmother Rose EINBUND in Pittsburgh. It's dated the 18th of __? 1948. Page two is VM 15254. ------- I'd like to have these two pages translated from Russian to English. I don't know the name of the writer or where he/she was located in the USSR. (I've included the writer's written address on the envelope with page two of the letter.)----- My Grandmother came to the US in 1913 from Parichi (near Shchedrin) in the Belarus region of Russia. ----- Thanks for all of the great help!!

Hello dear: Aunt Rosa, uncle Azik, sister Sonya with your kids and husband. I want to let you know that I got your parcel which uncle Natan Wainer sent on February 23, 1948. Thank you so much. Dear, every time when we put on something from your parcel, we wish you a lot of health and happiness from your children. We got your parcel without any problem. We don't have any news. We live in Rechitze right now. Aunt Beyla got parcel also. Dear, please write to us on mother's name, Kogan Elke Berkovne because we are not always at home. If you sent letter for aunt Beyla , use uncle's name.
Aunt Gita is all right. She with her son
5/4/2010 2:47 PM I have a question regarding the name of the writer's mother "Kagan Elke Berkovne". ----- Is it possibly BerkOVNA, and would that mean "daughter of" Berk____? (So, Elke, married to ____ Kagan and daughter of Berk____?)---- Thanks, Jim
5/4/2010 3:36 PM to: Kagan El'ke Berkovne;
Kagan Elka Berkovna; El'ka is a daughter of Berk
(Kagan could be a surname of her father or husbant)
