I believe that this is the death record of my 5xGGF known as Joseph Moses Levy or Israel Moses. I chagrined to acknowledge that I am not sure if this is the correct record or even if it is in German. If this is the correct record I would appreciate as full a translation as possible and if it is not the correct record I would appreciate a knowledgeable person telling me what is is (even the language). Many thanks and sorry for my own lack of clarity. Jed Brickner

It is German and seems to be the right/or related document, even though the name Levy is not included.

Moses Joseph
Today 23 Prairial year IV of the republic (11 Jun 1796) 4pm, appeared in front of me, Fridrich Bauer, civil clerk of the community of Guntershofen, in the community house, Isack Moses, citizen and merchant, 41yo, and Joseph Moses, citizen and merchant, 42yo, both residing here in Guntershofen, Bas Rhin Departement, both sons of the deceased Moses Joseph. They declared that the mentioned Moses Joseph died today, 23 Prairial 6am, in his house, aged 74. Following this declaration I went to his place to confirm the decease of Joseph Moses and compiled this record, which was signed by both witnesses Isack Moses and Joseph Moses in Hebrew together with me, as they declared not to know German writing.
This happened in Guntershofen on the above mentioned date, Bauer, clerk
