A friend of mines thinks she has jewish origins and follows a conversion to be accepted in the jewish community.

She sent me the birth certificate of her maternal grand-mother.

Presently Diemeringen is a french city, but in 1887, it was a german one.
On the birth certificate the religion of the parents is written. Can you read what is written for the religion (2 lines). It's very difficult for me to read it as it"s gothic german

The mother's name is given as Sophie, maiden name Thomas.
