The following is from Yefim Kogan and Inna Vayner, Directors of Bessarabia   Research:

 (1) Jewish Cemeteries – Updates:

 (2) Bessarabian Revision List Update: A number of Revision List sets are going to  be completed for towns of Kishinev, Khotin, Faleshty, Brichany, Beltsy, etc. (see the progress at ) . There are already 2,126 records completed.

 (3) Genealogical Articles: Added an article/link about The Open Databases Project at the Museum of Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot. It is a great resource to find out more about our families in Bessarabia/Moldova. You can get family trees and  photos for a particular town, or for a particular family.  For example, for the town of Brichany – 26 articles, Beltsy – 36, and Bendery – 75, and for Valea-lui-Vlad, an agricultural colony, two articles. Here is a link to Museum of Jewish People site:

 (4) Culture and Recipes – Roza Makes Kasha Varnishkes.  Here is how Roza presents herself: “Ich bin a Khotiner, Bessarabie, labn Chernovitz”  (I am from Khotyn, Bessarabia,  near Chernovitz).  The video is in Yiddish with English subtitles. I enjoyed it so much, that I want you to watch it too. Ich givein azoy tsifridn tsu zein dos… – I was so glad to see this:
