Bio -Nolan Altman

Nolan Altman, a NY CPA, is currently the president of NTA Consulting, a financial services consulting firm specializing in Hedge Fund services. He currently serves on a number of hedge fund and philanthropic Boards. Mr. Altman was bit by the “genealogy bug” when he was inspired to write his family history in 1996 in memory of his mother. He has presented his “How to Document and Research Your Family History” seminar to university Holocaust history classes and numerous adult and continuing education classes. He has also made presentations and conducted computer workshops at the 23rd and 25th IAJGS Conferences in Washington, D.C. and New York City. He has had genealogical articles published in Avotaynu, Dorot, Stammbaum, Shemot and the FEEFHS Journal. Mr. Altman is also JewishGen’s Holocaust Database Coordinator and the Technical Coordinator for their JOWBR project. He is Treasurer and Board member of the JGS of Long Island and member of the JGS of New York. He resides in Oceanside, NY with his wife and two daughters.
