Marlis Glaser Humphrey Biography

Marlis Glaser Humphrey is the industry’s foremost expert on next generation family history publishing. She has applied her 20+ years experience in broadband communications, technology, marketing, and strategic planning to the genealogy world. Marlis is Projects Director of the Ukraine-SIG, VP Programs for the JGS Greater Orlando, IAJGS Membership Development Committee Member – Southern U.S.A. Region, Ancestor Road Show Consultant at the Indian River County Library Genealogy Department and member of the NGS, APG, FGS, IRGS, and LitvakSIG. A successful researcher, she has discovered the shtetls of all her great grandparents, contacted cousins in more than a dozen states, and is blessed to have found a great aunt who is 90 and another who is 99!  Her daughter is a member of the DAR and the Mayflower Society. Marlis has approached genealogy with a unique perspective on how advances in multimedia applications can enrich our sharing of family history and presented her ideas and methods to the 30th IAJGS 2010 in L.A. and the 31st IAJGS 2011 in Washington, D.C. Marlis holds a B.A. in Russian and an M.S. in Management of Technology.
