Marlis Glaser Humphrey Biography

Marlis Glaser Humphrey is the industry’s foremost expert on next generation family history publishing. She has applied her 20+ years experience in broadband communications, technology, marketing, and strategic planning to the genealogy world. Marlis is Projects Director of the Ukraine-SIG, VP Programs for the JGS Greater Orlando, IAJGS Membership Development Committee Member – Southern U.S.A. Region, Ancestor Road Show Consultant at the Indian River County Library Genealogy Department and member of the NGS, APG, FGS, IRGS, and LitvakSIG. A successful researcher, she has discovered the shtetls of all her great grandparents, contacted cousins in more than a dozen states, and is blessed to have found a great aunt who is 90 and another who is 99!  Her daughter is a member of the DAR and the Mayflower Society. Marlis has approached genealogy with a unique perspective on how advances in multimedia applications can enrich our sharing of family history and presented her ideas and methods to the 30^th IAJGS 2010 in L.A. and the 31^st IAJGS 2011 in Washington, D.C. Marlis holds a B.A. in Russian and an M.S. in Management of Technology.
