1) Douglas, Arizona. JCRPNA discovered a neglected, small Jewish cemetery that dates from 1910. The cemetery is 1.75 acres with only 54 interments. Arizona has classified it as a State Historical site. JCRPNA has taken on the task of restoring the site.
2) Eufaula, Alabama. With 85 interments, this cemetery dates back to the 1830’s. It is located within the Eufaula City Cemetery site. JCRPNA is working with various Alabama Jewish communities to restore this once beautiful site.
3) New Jersey. Several locations have been brought to JCRPNA’s attention. For example, we are working with Hamilton Township for restoration of a small, neglected site with 220 interments. JCRPNA is also working with individuals for cemetery sites in Newark, Camden, and Perth Amboy.
4) Philadelphia, PA. We are exploring several sites within Philadelphia area that have been brought to our attention.
5) Washington, DC. JCRPNA is working with Elesvetegrad Cemetery in Southeast Washington DC. The cemetery dates from 1901 and has over 1,500 interments. This project entails several aspects from reviewing bylaws to automating records.
6) Management Assistance. As part of our process to aid in cemetery management, JCRPNA provides technical assistance to cemeteries with management problems. This includes provision of a comprehensive software program for cemeteries at below retail rates. Currently there are several cemeteries interested in this process, which is headed by Carl Bergman.
