Press Report relating to the Central Synagogue, London

 

Jewish Chronicle, 12 September 1873

A contributor complains very strongly of the unpleasant clicking noise made by the doors of the Central Synagogue, which are constantly being opened and closed for the ingress and egress of "belated, restless or curious visitors and congregants, which gives great annoyance to many seat-holders near the doors", an annoyance which could be obviated by making them swing doors and covering them with baize. We have called attention to this before. We trust the matter receives attention
.
