Haversham Jewish Community and Synagogue


Haversham, near Wolverton (now in Milton Keynes), Buckinghamshire.
The synagogue consisted of a Nissan hut erected in a field close to the homes of the members of the community.

Date Formed:

Founded by member of the Aaronberg family at the beginning of World War II, who were evacuated from London.

Current Status:

Closed by 1947


The spiritual leader was Rev. J. Goldstein (who subsequently became Rev. J. Grant and was a minister of the Kingsbury Synagogue).

Cemetery Information:

There is no Jewish cemetery in Haversham nor elsewhere in Milton Keynes.
