JCR-UK is a genealogical and historical website covering all Jewish communities and 
 County of Derbyshire Derbyshire is a county in the east Midlands of England. Its principal towns are Derby (a unitary authority) and Chesterfield. Jewish Community The principal area of Jewish settlement in the county was the city of Derby, which had an organised community and congregation from the end of the nineteenth centuray until the 1980s (see Derby Hebrew Congregation). In the 2020s, a new Jewish communal group was established covering Derby, Chesterfield and the rest of the county (see below).
