Rickmansworth and Croxley Green
Rickmansworth (population about 23,000) is a town in Hertfordshire situated about five miles to the west of Watford and a few miles to the northeast of the administrative boundary of Greater London. Croxley Green is a suburb of Rickansworth.
Rickmansworth is now in the Three Rivers District, a local government district in the county of Hertfordshire, formed in 1974. Until 1974, Rickmansworth was an Urban District.
Rickmansworth Jewish Community
The Jewish community in Rickmansworth and Croxley Green dates from World War II, when it was founded by families evacuated from London and organised as a United Synagogue Membership Group. It was disbanded shortly following the War.
