Roger Lustig, SIG Co-Director, Research Coordinator

Roger Lustig is the son of German Jews. His father, Ernst Lustig (z''l), began compiling vital-records databases over 35 years ago. Working with GerSIG and JRI-Poland, Roger continues this effort. He has visited various European archives and has transcribed over 100,000 vital records. As GerSIG research coordinator, he supervises the NALDEX (Name Adoption List Index) and Hessen Gatermann database projects.

He studied statistics in college and musicology in graduate school, and now works as a data-analysis consultant and also as a genealogist. His experiences with difficult data and old handwritten sources have assisted his work with Jewish records.
