Manfred Israel was born possibly in 1926 to Hildegard and Sigismund Israel.Before the outbreak of World War2 this family immigrated to Israel and settled in Haifa on Mount Carmel.He married an Israeli born woman by the name of Faye.My mother was the cousin of Manfred.Her name was Ruth Else Philippsohn.
My mother's parents were Josephine and Arthur Philippsohn.Josephine and Hildegard were sisters.All were born and lived in Liegnitz,Germany until the outbreak of the second world war.Liegnitz(Legnica)today is in Poland.
