Minkov family from Borisov (modern Barysau) Belarus. 1800-1900s. Abraham Minkove married Tzeta Brelsin and had 8 or 9 children. One of those, David, is my grandfather. Tolochin shtetl nearby may also be a family site.

David Minkove's family

David Minkove, 1879 - 1959 married Ida Sugerman and settled in Worcester, MA., USA. His siblings included Malke, Velvel(my name sake), Chayim, Sarah, Drezha, Fannie, Pozha and Ashka.

David's parents were Abraham Minkov and Tzeta Breslin. Tzeta's father was Shlomo Breslin.

Other Mencow or Minkov from Borisov?

I have found other Minkov's from Borisov, but none with these siblings.
Malke and Fannie did also came to Worcester, MA.

Sugerman Borisov

Nehemiah Sugerman from Borisov was my father's grandfather. My father Nathaniel was named for Nehemiah. Nehemiah was buried in Jerusalem in 1915.
