Bessarabia Ethnographic Map ca. 1916Black and white photocopy of an ethnographic map of historical Bessarabia, roughly covering the land of modern Moldova, from census and other statistical data collected between 1908~1916. Originally in color, the map shows proportions of 16 ethnic categories, including Jews and Roma, for a few hundred cities and towns in the region. City populations are indicated by circle sizes. Total ethnic populations and a variety of economic statistics are presented in separate tables.
