Cities and towns are designated by size symbols in eight steps. Major roads, waterways, and sites of interest are indicated by colors and symbols. Populations in 1998 are tabulated by administrative division (apskritis) and for large cities. A separate inset map at 1:2M scale shows administrative divisions in 1930, when part of modern Lithuania was controlled by Poland.
