Baranowicher Farbrand of America
New Baranowicher Branch 446
National Workers Alliance

contributed by Jerry Seligsohn

There was very little material on this group.  Apparently it started off as a radical group which was featured in an article in Der Freiheit and ended up joining with a very Orthodox Yeshiva in anger against the Holocaust.  The following names have been gleaned from fliers.  The asterisk is my pitiful transliteration from Yiddish.

"FARBAND, which was the original name of the Yiddish speaking branches of the Jewish National Workers Alliance, is now known as the Labor Zionist Alliance.  Their National Office is at 275 7th Avenue in New York City.  They publish the JEWISH FRONTIER and usually support the Labor Party in Israel."
