1/19/2022 3:18 PM Marriage documents can be easily identified, because they have a paragraph ‘1’ for the groom and a paragraph ‘2’ for the bride.

This is not a marriage document. It is, sadly, a death certificate.

Dated in Mogilno on April 21st, 1909.

The death was reported by the butcher David Gehr, living in Mogilno.

The name of the deceased was Alfred Gehr, 1 year and 4 months old, Jewish, residing in Mogilno in the home of David Gehr, born in Mogilno. He was the son of David Gehr and his wife Settchen Gehr nee Simon. He died in his home on April 20th, 1909, at three o’clock in the morning.

The document is signed by David Gehr and the registrar.
