I'd like the name(s) of my great-granduncle Morris Pruzansky's father translated from the Hebrew inscription.

MOSHE son of Reb Simcha the Levite

He passed away on "Isru Chag" of the holiday Passover, 5715.

He and his father were Levites, descended from Levi, one of the twelve sons of Jacob. Levites served specific functions in the Temples, and still receive special recognition -- and have special obligations – today.

His father's name, Simcha, means joy.

"Isru Chag" is the day after the conclusion of a holiday. In the diaspora, the day after Passover is the 23rd day of the month of Nisan.

May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.
