It came to pass in Warsaw in the Ninth “Łazienki” District in the Chancellery of the Clerk of Civil Records of Non-Christian Religions on the 25th of September/7th of October 1886 at 9:00 AM that there appeared [before us] the Clergyman Psachja Gorenblas along with the bachelor Jakob Szapiro living with his father, age 20, son of the father Binem & Gena née Rajcher Szapiro, living in House No, 5045, and the virginal young woman Tauba Dwojra Kasiusz, living with her parents, age 16, born in Warsaw to the father Abram & Rojza née Brandszaft Kasiusz, residing in House No. 5045, with witnesses Szmul Tugendrajch, trader, age 52, residing in House No. 3050B, and Majer Fakiel, laborer, age 52, residing in House No. 1685. The aforementioned Clergyman Psachja Gorenblas, in the presence of those persons mentioned above informed us that, on the 22nd of September/4th of October of this year, he concluded a religious marriage between the aforementioned Jakob Szapiro and Tauba Dwojra Kasiusz and that that marriage was carried out with the agreement of the couple and with the permission of their parents. This marriage was preceded by three marriage banns, announced on the 6th/18th, the 13th/25th and the 20th of September/2nd of October of this year and no pre-nuptial agreement was concluded between them. This document, after being read aloud to those present, was signed by us, by the newlyweds, by the witnesses and by the father of the groom. The father of the bride is illiterate.
