12/2/2020 5:51 PM Most tombstones are written in Hebrew, not in Yiddish.

This stone is in Hebrew. It is not at all easy to read. Here is what I could make out.

=====================================================
[here lies]

the maiden [unmarried woman], the dear and important

CHAYALEH YELLINSHK [?], may she rest in peace

She passed away the 26th [?] of Elul of the year 5679

at the age of 65

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

====================================================

My reading of her last name is my best guess. I am also not entirely sure of the date: it looks like the 26th, but might also be the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 28th ....

The 26th of Elul of the year 5679 began at sunset on the 20th of September, 1919, and ended at sunset on the 21st.
12/3/2020 6:13 AM I suggest the surname is Yellinek (Jellinek) יעלינעק
