What does the writing in the left corner say? Would that be the name of the photographer? Anyone know something about the photographer/studio?

Does the clothing suggest anything about this family?

5/22/2014 2:18 AM Dear Karen! My name is Boris Finkelshtein! My grand-grand father - Ios-Haim Factorovich, his father's name is Itzkhak. He lived in Kiev in the same time that I see on the picture.
I have his photo, and as for me, faces of men on the both pictures (yours and mine) are similar.
Perhaps they were close relatives? What do you know about the man from your photo?
