This is a grave from the Treuchtlingen Jewish cemetery in Germany. The person who took the photo took a list of graves from my family with the row and grave number on the row. He forgot to list which one this is, but he says it's from the list. It is probably one of my Herz relatives but could be Mathilde Levi born Herz. If you can read the name, you can email me at and I can find more information about the person. This grave would be from before 1900 all the way back to the early 1800s, or possibly before. I'm sorry I can't give more information. I'd like a complete translation. Hopefully he took a photo of the right headstone as some are missing. The image was taken in May 2014. Thank you so very much. Lin Herz

Here is buried a man who walked in a pure path. His eye and heart to his Father in Heaven. He found grace in the eyes of the people of the nations. In half of his days G-d took him. Zeev Wolf Hertz from Berlzheim. Died Thursday 3 Nissan ... [5]673 [= 10 April 1913]
5/13/2014 12:02 PM In my opinion is written: Zeev Wolff Hertz, from Ferlzheim. He die on Thursday 3 of Nisan in the year 5615 (22 March 1855).
I don’ think that the tomb is from 1913 as a another writer thought, because in this time , the 20 century
on the most of the tombs in Germany you find also a German writing ,at list the giving name and his family name in German.

best regards
