1/29/2014 7:48 AM It came to pass in the Town of Tomaszow on the twelfth day of March in the year of one thousand eight hundred and thirty at the hour of five in the afternoon. Appeared personally Orthodox Jew Jozef Rotholz, deputizing for Meier, the local Rabbi, during his absence, accompanied by

Orthodox Jew Icek Bergersohn, the youth residing there in Tomaszow, nineteen years of age, born there in Tomaszow to Simon and Laia the daughter of Wolf, the Bergersohns, a married couple residing there in Tomaszow and making a living as stallholders,

and Hinda Puter, the maiden seventeen years of age, born to Jozef and Mala, the Puters, a married couple formerly residing there in Tomaszow but not alive anymore, still staying with her grandfather Maier Szaler,

in the presence of Simon Bergersohn, the father of Icek, and Maier Szaler, the grandfather and a legal guardian of Hinda Puter, as well as in the presence of witnesses Leyzor Rozenfeld, the day labourer seventy years of age, and Gerszon Bergerbaum, the grain trader fifty-two years of age, both of them residing there in Tomaszow as well,

and declared that that the religious marriage had been solemnized before him that day between Icek Bergersohn and Hinda Puter, following triple proclamation of banns held on the sixth, the thirteenth and the twentieth day of February in Tomaszow Parish and verbal consent to that marriage granted by Simon Bergersohn, the father of Icek Bergersohn, and Maier Szaler, the grandfather of Hinda Puter, and no marriage impeding had occurred, in addition to which the newlyweds declared they had signed premarital agreement on the eleventh day of March of the current year before Grzegorz Kozlowiecki, the Notary of Tomaszow County. The actual certificate was read aloud to the appeared and the witnesses and subsequently signed by Jozef Rotholz, deputizing for the Rabbi Meier, as well as by the other persons mentioned in the actual certificate except for the bride, who did not know how to write.
