Deaths & Burials, including Tombstone Inscriptions and Lists of Persons Buried● Jewish Civilian Deaths during World War II - Names and details extracted primarily from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's (CWGC's) Register of Civilian War Dead, the selection has been made on the basis of name, together with some additional sources. Compiled by Harold Pollins. ● Douglas (Isle of Man) Borough Cemetery, Jewish Section - Tombstone inscriptions (listed alphabetically), with ancillary information of 73 burials (1940 to 2016) in the Jewish section of the Douglas Borough Cemetery in the Isle of Man (plus two burials in Knockaloe, 1916 and 1917) in browsable form, compiled by Harold Pollins. These records (currently 1940 to 2005 only - 67 records) are also included in the ALL-UK Database. - Tombstone inscriptions (1807 to 1958), in most instances with images, in the Old Jewish Cemetery in Exeter, mostly compiled by Michael Adler (a section of Rabbi Dr. Bernard Susser's "Jewish Tombstone Inscriptions in S. W. England - Studies in Anglo-Jewish History No. 3"). Available on-line by JCR-UK as part of the Exeter Synagogue Archive.● Exeter - Exwick Cemetery, Jewish Section - Layout Plan of the Jewish Section of the Exwick Cemetery (Exeter), together with images of all tombstones from opening of cemetery (1992) to May 2016. ● London - Cheshunt Jewish Cemetery (Adath Yisrael) - Records of the Adath Yisrael Burial Society (UOHC) listing (in alphabetical order) those interred in the Cheshunt Cemetery (Adath Yisrael Section), showing the name of the deceased, date of death and grave location.
