In the morning I awoke. The windows were covered with frozen white snow. I approached the window, curious about what was going on outside. The roofs, fences, and mounds of snow in front of our door were covered in white. With a bunch of books and notebooks under my arm, I went outside in order to go to the cheder class of R. Zusia the Teacher who lived in the yard near ours, with only a broken down fence separating them.
