Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

6/10/2012 4:14 PM I believe that this is page one of a marriage certificate for my grandparents, Solomon Bromberg and Chaja Sura Potaszman (Stella Potaschman).

I am seeking info on contents, whether there is any detail on parents' names or other.

23172 Do you recognize?

6/10/2012 4:14 PM This is reportedly an photo of Solomon Bromberg's first wife. I believe that her maiden name was Segal, daughter of Chana Segal, possibly of Makow Mazowiecki, Poland. She was mother to Leon Bromberg (1912) and Chaja-Liba (Lillian) Bromberg (1917). She died about 1917.

Do you recognize her, know her name, or have any information?

In a moment I will also post the USA version of the passenger list to compare the departure and arrival. Note on one lsit he is Israel JOSEPH and the other is Joseph ISRAEL. JOSEPH is the correct family name.

Thanks

23146 Translation - Polish

6/10/2012 4:09 PM This is the front side of the wedding invitation from previous submission VM 23086. Thanks to the translation of the invitation it is clear the Father of the bride is Hersh Szwarc of Myszkow.

Could someone please translate the handwritten part of this document and provide the context if any.. We can make out Olkusz but not sure how it is referenced. We know there is a brother of my GF named Moshke Wilhelm but not sure in this context if the announcement is addressed to Moshke or if he is the groom.

Thank you
