19400 Translation - Yiddish

7/3/2011 5:25 PM I found this in my grandmother, Jennie Bross Dunn's (Shaina Raisel Brzoza) photo album. I am assuming it is from the Jewish Daily Forward, date unknown.

I can make out the name Issac Barisofski of Raigrod, Lomza gubernia from the first part. There is also mention of Itzchak dear son of Yaacov and Sarah of Lomza Poland in the second part along with the names Shaina Raizel and Yusel Furstenberg.

Please translate from Yiddish to English. Thank you in advance.

7/3/2011 5:24 PM Can this 19th century document be translated from Russian into English? I believe it had to do with my grandfather whose given name was Arthur (Arieh). Some versions of the family name are Keyfetz, Keyfitz, and Cheifetz. View the post with its 3 responses

19430 Translation - Russian

6/29/2011 5:00 PM Fairly certain that it relates to Chana Zauer because I see her name written on the document. She was from Lodz.

She met her bridegroom on Ellis Island where they were married.

Other than that, I don't know anything and need a translation.

Thank you!!

19420 Translation - Hebrew

6/29/2011 4:59 PM We found this document while cleaning out an apartment.

It was hand written and colored on a bamboo type of parchment. It's colored in a gold ink in certain areas.

Aside from the "name," I don't know what it says.

My great-grandfather did own a religious articles store on the Lower East Side, so it wouldn't entirely surprise me if it was something for sale there.

Other than that, I'm not sure.

Any ideas of what it says; and if translated... What it might have meant or been used for?

Thanks!
