Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

6/21/2009 This is a photo of my great grandmother's grave in Biezun, Poland in the early 1930s. I would appreciate any assistance in the translation of the text to English.

I believe her name was Rachael Leah Wolman (nee Kadecki).

Please feel free to email responses directly to hallerman@gmail.com

Thank you in advance,
Mark Hallerman

6/21/2009 The relevant relationship of my father to this rabbinic family is through marriage at some point. I have made a mark to the left of the section which discussed this possible linkage and underlined the footnote which refers to the connection. I am having trouble interpreting how Schraga Feitel was related to my father, so if anyone can help I would appreciate it. View the post with its 3 responses
