Sam had to be the son of my ggrandfather Isaac Friedman's brother. The brother is unknown. Sam was said to be the first Jewish linotype operator in Montreal. He worked for a large Jewish newspaper there. It's believed Sam was married. The Friedmans came from Grodno. Isaac came to Canada in 1899 from the port of Liverpool on the S.S. Dominion (according to naturalization papers) and then went to New York City via train. His brother went to Canada, date unknown. If you recognize Sam and know about the Canadian branch of the Friedman family, I'd love to talk to you. I'm especially interested in learning the name of Isaac's brother. I'd also love to learn more about Sam and any of his descendants. Thank you!
