8/22/2013 2:08 AM These are two documents. On the left is "tnaim", i.e. engagement contract. On the right is "ksuba", marriage contract. Both are standard formulas. The tnaim in Hebrew and the ksuba in Aramaic. There is more information in the tnaim. The bride was never previously married. Her name was Basha. At the engagement she was represented by her father Moshe son of Chaim. The groom Yuda Yaakov son of Elya Dov represented himself at the engagement. Both events took place in Kiev. The engagement 28 Av 5679 (24 Aug. 1919) and the marriage 25 Elul of the same year (it says Friday, but that date comes out Saturday - which is impossible - 20 Sept. 1919). At the engagement the bride's father promised a dowry of 20,000 rubles plus clothing for the bride. guarantor for the bride Avraham son of Dovid Chaim Chazan, guarantor for the groom Moshe son of Elya Sholom Feinzilber. Moshe Feinzilber was also a witness at the wedding, which means he couldn't have been a relative. The names of the other witnesses on both documents is irrelevant since they could not have been relatives. I think that's all the information that can be learned from these documents.
9/3/2013 8:22 AM The bride's name is Baila. (I could see how someone would read it as Basha, bet-shin-aleph, but it reads Baila, bet-yud-yud-lamed-aleph)

The groom is Yehuda (Yuda for nickname) Yaakov.
