All this took place in Warsaw in the office of Warsaw Capital City Municipal Police Station No 2 on the twenty-seventh day of September in the year of one thousand nine hundred and sixteen. Before me, the commissioner of Warsaw Capital City Municipal Police Station No 2, personally appeared Szul Dawid Brones, the son of Szlama-Hern, the housepainter forty-four years of age, residing in Warsaw in a house located at twenty-five Nowe-Miasto Street, land and mortgage register entry number three hundred and fifty, accompanied by witnesses, namely 1. Izaak Warum, the trader thirty-seven years of age, residing in Warsaw at fourteen Swietojerska Street, and 2. Juda Warum, the trader thirty-one years of age, residing in Warsaw at eighteen Swietojerska Street, and showed us a female baby who had been born in Nowominsk*, the county town located within the Warsaw Governorate, on the fourth day of April in the year of one thousand nine hundred and nine at the hour of five before noon to himself and his spouse Chana nee Brosek thirty-seven years of age, to whom the name had been given Sura. The father that was proved to be at fault for the delay in drawing up the birth certificate. This certificate was read aloud to the appeared and subsequently signed by all of them and myself.
