12/21/2013 8:20 AM It came to pass in the Town of Wojslawice on the eighth day of April in the year of one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three at the hour of six in the evening. Appeared personally Orthodox Jew Dawid London, the Deputy Rabbi of Wojslawice Parish, together with

Orthodox Jew Srul Czesny, the widower, a day labourer residing in the Town of Chelm, thirty-five years of age, born in Chelm to Zelman and Gitla of the maiden surname unknown, the Czesnys, a married couple from Chelm not alive anymore,

and Fajga Bursztyn, the maiden twenty years of age, making a living as a maid in Wojslawice, born in Wojslawice to Judka and Frymet nee Tenenbaum, the Bursztyns, a married couple not alive anymore, the grain traders from Wojslawice,

in the presence of Berek Tenenbaum, a flour dealer fifty-three years of age residing in Wojslawice, the guardian of the maiden, as well as in the presence of witnesses, Orthodox Jew Herszek Lederman, a leather trader forty-nine years of age, and Abram Taszer, a stallholder fifty-one years of age, both of them residing in Wojslawice,

and declared that the religious marriage had been entered into before him that day by Srul Czesny and Fajga Bursztyn, following triple proclamation of banns, namely on the nineteenth and the twenty-sixth day of March and the second day of April of the current year in Chelm Synagogue and Wojslawice Synagogue, and verbal consent to marriage granted by the guardian of the bride and no marriage impeding had occurred, in addition to which the newlyweds declared they had not signed any premarital agreement. The actual certificate was read aloud to the appeared and the witnesses and signed by Dawid London, Srul Czesny, Berek Tenenbaum, Herszek Lederman and Abram Taszer, whereas the bride did not know how to write.
