1/23/2013 9:15 AM I would guess Mircin, but to be sure you should tell us what the two place names are, I could not find them, are they Proschina and Wloschcina? This would help with deciphering the handwriting by comparing the letters.
1/24/2013 2:02 AM Here is my non-expert guess. Salomon Metzel, hausier (or variation, meaning peddler) from Prochina (or variant spelling), haus no. 19, son of Michael Metzel, handelsmann (trader, merchant) from Prochinam and the mother _____ (you have Sara) born Mircir??? (really not sure) from Wlaschin. I think this is Welleschin (Velesice) in Leitmeritz District, but it could be Vlasenice near Tabor, which would put it close to Proschina.

There are Metzels in Tabor district for 1793 census. No Salomon, but there is a Markus and a Michael.

There is a Sara Munzin living in Prague in 1793, originating from Beydrtitz, but don't know where that is. However, the surname looks like Mircin, which I can't locate in 1793 census.
