Hi - Looking for a translation of the Hebrew, especially related to either their Jewish names. They were buried in the US, but were from Posen (then Germany, now Poland). Thanks!

1/13/2013 6:04 PM Hello Wendi,

On the left side for John Newman:
"The honest man Yaakov Numan/Newman, who died on the 8th day of the Hebrew month of Sivan. May his soul be bound up in the bonds of everlasting life."

On the right side for Rosa Newman:
"The woman of importance Mrs. Rivkah daughter of Nathaniel who died on the 24th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev. May her soul be bound up in the bonds of everlasting life." In Hebrew her name was Rivkah Bas Reb Netaniel. The word Reb is merely an honorific title used before the given name of a man. It does NOT imply rabbi.

Hope that this is what you need.....Jo
