On  Response
11/21/2012 7:55 PM Zum ewigen Andenken
meinen Liebling an
Ihrem bis ans Lebensede
liebenden
Henry

This phrase has wrong grammar and therefore hard to translate. In particular, the dative and accusative cases are mixed up. Maybe this is because the writer had a Yiddish background where the case endings differe from those in Standard German. The correct wording woud be:

Meinem Liebling zum ewigen Andenken an ihren bis ans Lebensede liebenden Henry
To my favourite to remember Henry who will love her/him until the end of her/his life.

Because of the word "Ihren" (as opposed to "seinen"), the writer, Henry, should be a woman.
The whole thing is a riddle.

11/21/2012 8:50 PM Correctiion: It is not Henry who is a female, but rather the (unnamed) recipient of the card.

To my favourite for eternal memory of Henry who will love her until the end of her life.
This makes much more sense. Sorry for the confusion.
11/22/2012 6:45 AM It should probably be "the end of his life".
Here is a more literal translation:
For eternal memory to my favourite of her Henry [who is] loving until life's end.

The name of the writer is the same as that in 24554, his name is Hendel, not Henry.
