My dears !
Your last dear lines which did arrive here on 27.11 of this year, did bring the news that you ; thanks God, and without doubt are well and in good health. This is at least a happy news. I can imagine vividly that in the there constantly changing weather situations, this is of very high importance.
On November 29 we had a letter from Richard and Hedwig. The last one does complain about the great heat of the moment. But here it slowly starts becoming cold. Our nephew Ernst seems not to like this weather. Since 8 days he does not show up nor is heard. But we are not angry when he does not visit us because he always is very loud. Here is at the moment a heavenly silence !
My brother in law Max always writes that he always is very worried about his family. I only can assure him that he is burdening his nerves without any reason. He is constantly needing them all there and it completely useless in the actual circumstances to undermine them without reason.
If I would believe every rumors that I hear, he surely would no more be where he is now.
The process between Ernst and Deubach seems to be an endless one and I believe that Anna and Rudolf also will be mixed up in it. Between Anna and Ida seems to be no love lost and I fear that they will make trouble. Yes, one may speak to anyone and usually nothing pleasant is heard.
Also your lines I have read with great interest. The picture of the local situation did not surprise me at all ; already earlier I received the same news from elsewhere. The whole world is a town and everywhere the gees walk barefooted as they say. Therefore I can not understand Grete that she always is that angry on Hedwig, because she obviously does show little interest for her.
I am convinced that she does a bitter injustice to her. No one can do more ...
