This is the fourth page of Zhitomir's modern images as seen by modern photographer Vyacheslav Mayboroda. We have seen his images of public buildings in Zhitomir, the houses with shutters on little cobbled lanes, the commercial buildings of the turn of the century that would be the pride of any city seeking both a heritage and refinement. This page is of the parks, monuments, tree-shaded boulevards and promenades which modern Zhitomir provides for its citizens. We here again thank Mr. Mayboroda for his generosity in sharing his artwork and congratulate him on his vision. We also thank Mr. Alex Kopelberg formerly of Zhitomir but now a citizen of Israel who arranged that we could publish these pictures and Mr. Alexander Fesjuk also a Zhitomirite but now a citizen of the Czech Republic who also helped bring this about.

A Dam on the Teteriv River in Zhitomir
Zhitomir can be justly proud of its green spaces, monuments, and fountains. But some scenes have remained unchanged from when our grandfathers walked in this town.
