Kipil [Kopyl] [Kopulya] is in the Ukraine, in Volynia gubernia (province).  It is about 145 miles WNW of Kiyev.

Jerry Seligsohn lives in the New York city area, and has been volunteering his time to transcribe voluminous data archived by YIVO, relating to the many landshaften organizations in the area.  He found records of the "Kipiler [Kopyl] Young Men's Benevolent Association" dating from 1958-71.  To view those records, click here.
